With London’s rent prices becoming more excessive each year, tenants should at least have the reassurance that no corners are cut when it comes to their safety and wellbeing.
Unknown to tenants and councils, many properties across London are being rented without the minimum required legal safety standards. This means many tenants are living in unsafe conditions and their safety is put at risk, such as invalid gas safety certificates, unaccredited electrical installations, absent fire risk assessments, and obsolete building structure surveys. I set up London Tenant Services after unknowingly living in unsafe conditions myself and receiving 70% of my paid rent back.
Our mission is to protect tenants and their money by bridging this gap of awareness.
While there are legal services to run this claim process, receiving the rent compensation can take several months and can be costly. We exist as a new, one-of-a-kind, preliminary service for tenants to know their likelihood of success before committing this time and without spending any money.
