We cross-reference different data sets to identify addresses that are likely being rented (or have been rented) without meeting the council's minimum required legal safety standards.
We work with tenants to assess their eligibility for rent compensation of up to up to 12 months’ rent paid back.
Each tenant’s case and grounds for rent compensation is unique. To assess their eligibility, we interpret the complexities of different applicable legislations and unique council requirements. To start this assessment, interested tenants complete our short information request form.
We provide the outcome the rent compensation eligibility assessment itself free of charge; only if a subsequent claim is successful, then we are entitled to 9%. This is on a ‘no-win-no-fee’ basis. This is currently a reduced rate while we run our pilot exercise.
We pride ourselves in being transparent with no hidden costs. This small percentage is used to continue to procure property data to analyse and grow our service wider than this pilot exercise to assist more tenants - expanding across the whole of London and hopefully across the UK.
